Kish Coffee Festival to Be Held in November 2025
The First Kish International Coffee Festival is set to take place from November 7th to 9th, 2025, at the Kish International Convention Center. The official poster and details of this innovative event were recently unveiled.
Following the success of the First Iran Coffee Festival, held in 2024 at Goftogoo Park, Tehran, with the support of the Tehran Coffee Shop Union, Tehran Chamber of Guilds, and the Iran Coffee School, under the strategic direction of Ali Zafari, the Kish Festival aims to build upon that experience and bring a new wave of professional coffee culture to southern Iran.
According to organizers, the festival will focus on coffee education, tourism, and cultural exchange, featuring barista competitions, equipment exhibitions, workshops, and family-friendly programs.
Homayoun Abolhasani, CEO of Mitakish, highlighted Kish Island’s historical role in coffee trade, noting that the first imported coffee shipments to Iran arrived through Kish more than two decades ago.
He emphasized that the festival represents a revival of Kish’s position in the national coffee scene.
Mehdi Ajarloo, Director of the Kish International Convention Center, said that the Kish Free Zone Organization aims to position the island as a hub for national and international cultural events.
The Kish Coffee Festival follows the model of the first Iran Coffee Festival — and we are eager to see whether Kish can also become home to one of the most significant coffee events in the region.
